Project Description

CONQUERING THE PINZGAU VALLEY ON SKIS

Cross-Country Skiing

Bramberg and Neukirchen together boast a total of 55 kilometres of trails, for both easy-going and sporty cross-country skiers. Well-prepared and superbly tracked cross-country trails through a fairy-tale winter landscape with spectacular views of the giant Großvenediger provide many hours of cross-country fun. You may even want to join an illuminated evening trail!

The 200 km-long Pinzga trail is a real challenge. It leads from Krimml through the Pinzgau Valley to Zell am See. The trail is tracked for classic cross-country skiers as well as for skaters. You can travel back to your starting point by the Pinzgauer Lokalbahn railway.

Next to the trails in the valley, you can find the pleasant Hochmoor trails near Pass Thurn. You can park your car at the station halfway. The Kitzbüheler Alps can provide you with more information on cross-country skiing in that area and the current status of the trails.

Also on the website of the National Park Hohe Tauern you can find more information on cross-countriy skiing in the valley.
